I'm playing The Curious Village right now, oh my god, and I love it so much! Layton and Luke are such a dynamic duo. I'm seriously drawing a background for this. Buildings are hard. So are clothes. I totally rushed it to make Lurker Day on the Layton community on LJ, but I'll come back to fix it as soon as I get more practice with fabric and hair and stuff. GOD I HATE HATS. After this, no more faces. I totally realize I need to learn to do actual bodies.
I'm going to figure drawing class in a few hours. I really hope I improve this semester. This week has been stupidly busy, man. I need to nap.
Take caaare, everyone.
<3
Edit: God, I'm sorry. The white looks fucking horrible on my page. It needs to go in scraps.
This is incredible! Your way of doing realism is just absolutely breathtaking. The hats are perfect! If it were up to me, I'd leave them as they are! It's so realistic and simple at the same time. I really can't figure out how you do it.
And the LIPS. They're so full and kissable-looking lmao (in a not-at-all pedo way for that little boy) I don't even know HOW you got their skin to look so smooth, while still being able to incorporate all the shading and blushes and what-not. I have such a hard time with that. Wow. WOW. WOW!
Oh god, I can't wait to see the finished piece! But really, this is just beautiful all on its own. I grow more and more jealous of you as the days go by! <333

WOW. WOW WOW WOW. How do you do it? How do you make your colouring so *painterly?* It's so rich and luscious and delicious I could just devour it. <333333
And take this OUT OF SCRAPS, missy! None of your work belongs in scraps, it should be in your gallery for the world to revel at! <3 If you take that figure drawing class, by God, you're going to blow away the likes of Michelangelo with your talent.
Everything looks so smooth and touchable! I just want to reach in and touch it, especially their skin and that little boy's hat! I especially adore how you do lips, like said, they're always so full and kissable (and not in the lustful way either!) Their skin looks so porcelain and pink, almost like seashells ^^ And the richness of the rest of the colours-- so lovely. I like the white background and how it draws your eyes in to them ^^

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
